I have friends in Dubai. I may have to have one of those Olivettis shipped over. An Arabic-language typewriter has been on my must-have list for quite a while.

So that's how they fit initial and final forms of the letters on a typewriter - the shift key? Why didn't I realize that? Another debt of gratitude to Mr. Tytell.
And, like Hebrew, the carriage is cocked by being pulled to the left.
